Who we are
Great plywood and engineered wood begin with dependable chemistry.
At Patina Chemicals, we manufacture specialty resin additives and adhesives that help wood panel manufacturers produce stronger, safer, and more consistent products.
Every solution is developed around real production-floor challenges — from reducing formaldehyde emissions and improving glue viscosity to enhancing adhesive rheology, optimizing press cycles, and maintaining bond strength. By combining focused research with hands-on process knowledge, we ensure our products perform not only in the laboratory, but consistently on a running production line.
Manufacturing discipline is central to everything we do. Each batch undergoes rigorous quality checks to deliver reliable performance, stable processing, and consistent panel quality every time it reaches your plant.
More than an additive manufacturer, Patina Chemicals works as a technical partner. Our team supports customers with formulation development, troubleshooting, process optimization, and plant-floor fine-tuning — turning every partnership into measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, and production performance.

How we work
From understanding needs to dependable supply.
A structured, hands-on approach to finding the right solution, validating performance and supporting long-term results.
- 01
Understand your needs
We begin by reviewing your goals, process requirements and the results you want to achieve.
- 02
Recommend the right product
Based on your application, we suggest the most suitable product and advise an effective starting dosage.
- 03
Trial and optimise
We support trials, review line performance and help define the right dosage and SOP for consistent results.
- 04
Supply and ongoing support
Once the process is in place, we ensure dependable supply and continue supporting optimisation as needs evolve.
Questions
Answers before you ask.
Our range is built for urea-formaldehyde (UF), melamine-urea-formaldehyde (MUF), melamine-formaldehyde (MF) and phenol-formaldehyde (PF) resin systems used across the panel industry.
Yes. Polymate-777A (amino resins) and Polymate-777P (phenolic resins) are nano-particle formaldehyde scavengers that help plywood, MDF and particle-board makers reach E0 or E1 compliance — from as little as Rs. 0.05–0.06 per glue line.
Our PB-01 / PB-02 bio-adhesive system can replace up to 50% of the urea content in traditional adhesives and drops into existing lines without re-tooling, lowering both carbon footprint and VOC output.
We do. Our team helps you set a starting dose, run trials on your own line, and read the results so the chemistry is tuned to your press cycle.
We manufacture in South 24 Parganas, West Bengal and supply plywood, MDF and particle-board makers across India, Bangladesh and Nepal.
Tell us about your substrate, resin and the problem you are solving. We regularly tune adhesive, extender, booster, scavenger and fire-retardant chemistry to specific applications.
